No matter what anyone tells you, there can never be enough couch multiplayer games released on PC. Knight Club is one such game, and if promo materials and gameplay showcases are anything to go by, developers are onto something special here.
Previously exclusive to the Humble Trove service - a sort of a 'vault' for indie titles that are freely available to Humble Monthly subscribers - Knight Club will soon be fully available for anybody to enjoy. This 2-4 player action platform beat 'em up takes Nintendo's Smash titles as its main inspiration, and it shows.
If you're in the market for a new game to pummel your buddies in, Knight Club just might be what you're looking for. To get the game without any sort of fee (ever), all you need to do is subscribe to the developers' mailing list, and then wait until 30th of August is up, as that's when the game will be releasing.
Knight Club offers no less than nine playable Knights, four vastly different weapons and nine unique stages to test them all across. With multiple game modes, such as Versus, Royalty, King of the Hill, and Party Mode, Knight Club is sure to offer a fair amount of content for the asking price.
You will be able to play both online and - most importantly - offline, which will make Knight Club a phenomenal party game if the developers have managed to get the gameplay right. After August 30 is up, Knight Club is slated to make an appearance on Steam as well, so stay tuned for that.
