V Publishing and developer Fear of Corn have announced that science fiction thriller Interference: Dead Air is now set to launch very early next month.
In it, players take on the role of a night shift security guard working a small security booth at the mysterious Barclay Institute.
Located in the middle of the desert, you use a variety of tools to monitor things inside and outside the institute as you maintain contact with your best friend, who happens to work there.
Soon enough, the building gets attacked by members of a cult named the Unseen Order and you’ll need to guide both your friend and other scientists to safety.
You’ll get information via radio conversations, track dangers on the map board inside the booth, and reroute power throughout the facility to hinder foes and help the institute’s workers escape.
Although your decisions can save lives, Interference: Dead Air also gives you the freedom to engage with a variety of distractions available around the booth.
You can also choose to simply decide that the life of a security guard just isn’t for you and leave when things go south. These decisions alongside the game’s branching narrative ensure that there are reasons to return for a new playthrough, according to the publisher.
Interference: Dead Air is currently slated to launch on February 2, 2023, and headed to PC, via Steam. You can get a sense of how it plays in its release date reveal trailer below.
