Co-publishers GrapeOcean Technologies and V Publishing have announced that cRPG Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is ready to shed its Early Access status and fully launch on Steam and Gog.com today.
An isometric old-school fantasy game inspired by genre greats such as Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness spent seven months in early access, during which it received more than 20 updates.
These improved loading times, made player tutorials clearer, but also helped the game grow by adding new explorable zones, nasty enemies to face, and questlines to complete.
Black Geyser’s full launch lets players choose from five playable races – Human, Dwarf, Elf, Feldegug, and Rillow – and 13 different classes spread across four archetypes – Priest, Outlaw, Warrior, and Wizard – when creating their character.
The title’s map stretches across the countries of Isilmerald and Northern Realm, blending together dangerous wildlands with districts, settlements, villages, and towns.
As you progress, you’ll encounter a plethora of characters, some of which join you on your journey as companions.
Each companion has their own personalities and skills, the latter of which come in handy when you’re facing off against foes in real-time with pause combat.
Black Geyser’s Greed mechanic sees your choices impacting the world around you and deciding whether you act as an agent of good or one of evil.
The game comes with 300,000 words of dialogue to support its deep lore while its lead characters are fully voiced.
You can check out Black Geyser’s newest trailer below and grab it from Steam or Gog.com if you fancy taking on the challenge of a new CRPG.
