The Sims-inspired life sim Paralives is off to a strong start in Early Access on PC, but will Paralives be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S? Here, GameWatcher looks into the details of the game’s console future.
Alex Masse and their team are a fraction of the size of The Sims 4 developer Maxis, but even in Early Access, Paralives has shown signs of bettering its greatest inspiration in the long term by focusing on what life sim fans want.
Having kicked off with 250,000 copies sold in the first eight hours of release and currently sitting on a Very Positive rating on Steam, Paralives is already a hit, which will see players and curious observers turn their thoughts to the future of the game.
And the dominant question for non-PC admirers of Paralives will undoubtedly be, ‘‘When is Paralives coming to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S (or maybe even Nintendo Switch 2)?’’
Paralives Console Status: When is Paralives Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?
As it stands, there are no plans for Paralives on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at the moment, but it’s not ruled out.
If there were to be a console release of Paralives, it would be coming no earlier than 2028, as the developer has stated that Early Access is set to take two years to complete.
It’s a relatively small team at present, and there’s a lot they want to add to the game in the lead-up to a 1.0 release, so patience will be required.
So if you can’t wait to get into Paralives on consoles, PC is the only place to go. If your PC or laptop isn’t running Paralives smoothly right now, the developer is trying to optimise the game for laptops and lower-end computers.
