Large-scale World War I and Revolutionary War battle simulator Rising Front is kicking off the year with a bang, thanks to its “colossal” 1.0 update which “changes a huge portion of the game.”
A single-player title that revolves around both participating in large-scale operations from a first-person point of view and commanding armies of wooden figurines from above, Rising Front sees tanks, cavalry, planes, and infantry clashing on sprawling battlefields.

Rising Fronts 1.0 update also includes “tons more stuff” not mentioned in the patch notes as well as fixes for “dozens and dozens of bugs,” which all sound promising enough, especially if you’re in the mood for some World War I action while waiting for Winter to pass.
Rising Fronts’ 1.0 update does not mark the end of the road for the large-scale battle simulator, as “several more updates” are “almost completed” and should see the light of day over the coming weeks and months.
If you’re keen on taking part in clashes that involve more than 1000 units, you can head over to the game’s Steam page, where an introductory offer discounts the game by 20% until January 23, bringing its price down to $11.99/11,83€/£10.23.
