Bloober Team returns to the series that made its name with Layers of Fear 3. GameWatcher examines everything we know so far about the psychological horror sequel’s release date, trailers, pre-orders, and more.
In the wake of releasing sci-fi horror hit Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team made it clear the studio remains busier than ever. While the developer is currently working on a remake of the original Silent Hill, following its successful reimagining of Silent Hill 2, that project isn’t its only focus.
Teasers for a mysterious new game soon began to surface. Despite early speculation pointing toward another remake, it was eventually confirmed that Bloober was returning to Layers of Fear — the psychological horror series that first established the Polish studio as a major modern force in the genre.
With two mainline entries and a later Unreal Engine reimagining simply titled Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear 3 marks the first brand-new instalment since Bloober’s high-profile success with Silent Hill 2 and Cronos.
