A new trailer for Gallipoli, the new entry in the renowned WW1 FPS series, has arrived during the latest IGN Fan Fest. Here’s your first look at the Siege of Kut Al Amara.
BlackMill Games in once again developing and self-publishing the hardcore FPS with a strong focus in historical accuracy. In Gallipoli, players will get to experience the Ottoman Fronts, with its “most significant battles” featured in great detail. Following all previous entries in the series, there are plenty of reasons to feel optimistic about this one.
Today, February 27, the latest trailer, focusing on the Siege of Kut Al Amara, arrived via IGN’s Fan Fest celebration. You can watch it here:
“The Kut Al Amara campaign brings the siege to life across a battlefield that transitions from open desert warfare into dense urban combat. Players can fight from sun-scorched dunes and trench networks toward the town itself, battling through key strongholds such as the British “Mud Fort”, palm-lined approaches along the Tigris, and the narrow streets of Kut’s bazaar district.”
The game’s key features, which are mostly keeping things familiar for veterans of the WW1 series, are the following:
- Authentic WW1 battles: fight through history with accurate maps, weapons, music and uniforms as a soldier of the British or Ottoman Empire.
- Varied Ottoman theatre: engage in expeditionary warfare across coastal dunes to dry deserts, urban areas & more.
- Realistic combat: get to grips with highly detailed weaponry & equipment and survive through suppressive fire and dust.
- Squad-based multiplayer FPS: join a squad as one of many classes with distinct specializations and work as a team across PC and Consoles with crossplay.
- Never fight alone: AI bots will join the fight over the future of the Ottoman Fronts in public matches, and optionally in custom matches.
Gallipoli is currently targeting a launch later this year on PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
