Path of Exile 2’s patch 0.2.0h continues developer Grinding Gear Games’ efforts of addressing issues that persist following the launch of the Dawn of the Hunt update. Aiming to release at some point next week, it will tackle a handful of complaints regarding Breach mechanics, Rogue Exiles, Strongboxes, and more.
Clearly aimed at improving the endgame experience, PoE2’s patch 0.2.0h also brings with it a series of quality of life updates, building on the developer’s previous efforts.
Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.2.0h
“The main focus of the patch is to improve certain aspects of the Endgame. This includes the minimum experience of Breaches where far too few monsters spawn and the Breach doesn’t last long enough,” the developer explains in a post dedicated to PoE 2’s patch 0.2.0h.
“We will also reduce the number of small Breach splinter stacks dropping and instead have fewer, larger stacks dropping.”
In addition, Rogue Exiles should become easier to spot, which is a boon given how visually busy battles can get. From there, the developer wants to “improve the behaviour of Azmerian Wisps when you activate two at once,” without delving into specifics.
Strongboxes are set to receive icons that allow us to modify them using currency that’s already in our inventory without having to open that window. The same treatment will be applied to Essences and Vaal Orbs.
Path of Exile 2’s patch 0.2.0h will also allow us “to filter by and change how your Unidentified Tier 1-5 Magic and Rare items look when the patch is released,” a feature often requested since the game entered early access.
Two new stash tabs are also on the way in the shape of the Ritual Tab and Socketable Tab, which should translate to less clutter in our inventories.
“The Ritual Tab holds your Omens and Audiences with the King, while the Socketable Tab will hold your Runes, Talismans and Soul Cores. You’ll be able to upgrade your Runes from within the Socketable Tab.”
Finally, PoE2’s patch 0.2.0h will also enable private leagues. For the time being, we’ll only be able to access them using the original game’s website. They will have “no extra mods” but the developer will continue working on them.
As mentioned above, Path of Exile 2’s patch 0.2.0h is aiming to release at some point during the week of May 12.
Path of Exile 2 is currently available in early access on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
