Released back in 2015, building and management game Prison Architect is still going strong. Not only has it surpassed 4 million downloads across all platforms, but The Clink update was also recently launched for its PC version.
Furthermore, publisher Paradox Interactive has handed the reins of Prison Architect over to developer Double Eleven. The studio has previously worked on the game’s console versions.
Prison Architect The Clink Update
Paradox Interactive acquired Prison Architect earlier this year from developer Introversion. The publisher has expressed its intention to deliver more games in the Architect IP, but will also continue developing Prison Architect itself in partnership with Double Eleven.
Prison Architect’s The Clink update adds 4 new floor and 4 new wall types, while also increasing the number of foremen that can be hired in larger prisons. Guards now have two new buttons: Guard Response, which allows players to send guards to a specific location removing the need to constantly hire new ones as incidents pop up, and Tunnel Seach, which prompts guards to search all toilets for hidden escape tunnels.
You can see all the changes introduced in The Clink update in the full patch notes. Below, you’ll also find a rather lengthy video discussing the future of Prison Architect.
