Remedy Entertainment has seen a positive start to 2026, with improved sales of its existing games, and the company attributes this to its focus on core strengths.
In a company business review for the January-March 2026 period, various strategies led to revenue gains for the company, improving its operating profit.
Pretty grey business stuff, but for a company like Remedy, which works smartly and shrewdly to produce blockbuster experiences such as Alan Wake 2 and Control, it’s part of a doubling-down on its core strengths.
With Alan Wake 2 continuing to drive strong momentum for Remedy Entertainment, interest in the series has surged again, and for those looking to jump in, the franchise is currently available on Humble Store.
Remedy Takes Control of Its Future
The reveal of Control Resonant in 2025 has seen a spike in sales for the original Control, which has sold six million copies to date, and Remedy has introduced a solid structure for the future life of FBC: Firebreak, which will require minimal cost going forward.
It’s not just the sales that are driving a positive mood for Remedy, as development on its Max Payne remakes and Control Resonant are going steady. The company also has a third project on the go that’s only in the proof-of-concept stage.
It’s all combining to put Remedy on track for its 2030 goal of being highly regarded as a creative studio with sustainable, significant commercial success.
That’s an especially important goal these days, as too many studios get ground to paste even with relative success, so Remedy’s personal connected universe of games and a large degree of independence from the usual industry nonsense could see it emerge as an even stronger force in the years to come.
With a hotly anticipated sequel in the form of Control Resonant and the remakes of the Max Payne games all on the horizon, Remedy’s future looks brighter than ever.
