Chicago Typewriter is a mainstay weapon in more games than we can keep track of, and Remnant: From the Ashes is one of these games. This high-capacity sub-machinegun is a real boon when dealing with numerous weak enemies, and here you’ll learn how to get it.
It just so happens that the Remnant: From the Ashes Chicago Typewriter location isn’t in a fixed spot. Instead, the only way to get the gun is to come across a special event that appears randomly. Make sure that you carry a key, because the SMG is behind a locked door after the event is over.
Remnant: From the Ashes Chicago Typewriter Location
In order to get the Chicago Typewriter, you’re going to need to play on Earth and keep an eye out for a pair of survivors trying to fend off a Root-type monster. It seems to pop up only after you’ve killed the so-called Evil Tree, and the survivors seem to spawn just in front of the dungeon that appears on your map.
Make sure that both survivors stay alive during the fight, and finish the event as any of them. When that’s done, there will be a locked door nearby, with the Chicago Typewriter tucked away behind it. Its stats are rather neat:
- DMG: 13
- RPS: 9.2
- MAG: 80
- AMMO: 320
The Chicago Typewriter is, as you can see, precisely what you’d expect out of a modified .45 sub-machinegun. A fast-firing, high-capacity bullet hose that’ll make short work of weaker enemies, and deal considerable damage to bosses and more powerful mobs in the overworld.
