The latest entry in the classic survival horror series is here to kick undead behind, but is Resident Evil: Requiem going to be released on Xbox or PC Game Pass?
It’s a momentous year for Resident Evil. Not only is it the 30th anniversary of the iconic survival horror series in 2026, but we also get a brand new Resident Evil game to celebrate.
Yes, Resident Evil: Requiem, the ninth mainline game in the series, kicks off the zombie-killing festivities on February 27, 2026. It sees series stalwart Leon Kennedy returning for the first time since Resident Evil 6, and our floppy-haired hero is heading back to Raccoon City alongside newcomer Grace Ashcroft, an FBI agent investigating a series of mysterious deaths.
Resident Evil: Requiem Xbox and PC Game Pass Release
As it stands, Resident Evil: Requiem is not available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. The game is coming to both Xbox Series X/S and Steam, but any Game Pass release will be post-launch. If you want to return to Raccoon City with Leon Kennedy any time soon, you’ll need to purchase a copy on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. To be fair, the temptation will surely be too great for longtime Resident Evil fans to wait for any Game Pass release.

Will the status of Resident Evil: Requiem on Xbox and PC Game Pass change? We’ll let you know as soon as it does.
Resident Evil is on Xbox and PC Game Pass. The Resident Evil 2 & 3 remakes are currently on the service, as is the eighth entry, Resident Evil Village. So you can at least get up to speed on the Raccoon City incident before playing Resident Evil: Requiem.
