Divis Studio’s debut game, Ironfields, is marching onto PC in 2026, bringing an arsenal of retro RTS warfare with it.
The game aims to capture the spirit of classics such as Command & Conquer, but with a more methodical spin.
The single-player RTS game is built around planning, not fast reflexes, so instead of traditional base-building, each mission in Ironfields centers on the structures already placed on the battlefield.
Ironfields Slows Down the March to War
Your job is to capture, repair, and defend them. You’ll then need to build towers, upgrade your forces, and choose the right moment to push them forward.
The result of this structure is a game focused on tactical decision-making and territory control as you battle hordes of enemy units. The capture of each building shifts the tide of war.
I’m not always in the mood for the intensity of an RTS campaign, so one that promises a slower, more methodical pace sounds like a welcome alternative. Hopefully, Ironfields can get that balance right.
An unfortunate side note on this one, as Ironfields did feature AI-generated content during its development. The developer insists that any content created that way is reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game.
Ironfields is set to be released in Q4 2026 via Steam. You can wishlist the game there now.
