Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has got a selection of particularly nasty boss and mini-boss encounters, not least of which is the one with Shikibu Toshikatsu Yamauchi, the so-called Seven Ashina Spears.
Sekiro Seven Ashina Spears is a special mini-boss enemy, which means it's going to require two separate Deathblows before it's dead and gone. It is a significantly more difficult encounter than the usual enemies, but we know how to kill Seven Ashina Spears, so read on.
How to Kill Seven Ashina Spears in Sekiro?
Shikibu Toshikatsu Yamauchi is an optional mini-boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and killing him will net you a snazzy item of Prayer Beads to upgrade One-Armed Wolf with. However, this will require you to beat Seven Ashina Spears, which means there's a tough fight ahead of you.
According to Fextralife, there are two ways for you to take down Seven Ashina Spears:
#1: Sneak up on Seven Ashina Spears from behind and do a stealth Deathblow to take one of the bosses' health bars away. Afterwards, you're going to have to get through the fight normally, but now half of your job's done for you already. Be sure to keep an eye out for Yamauchi's thrust attack, which can (and will) one-shot you.
#2: If you're not keen on 1v1 combat with Seven Ashina Spears, after delivering the stealth Deathblow, you can jump down to a lower level at one of the edges of the boss arena, to the path you used earlier to get to the young lord. Once you're there, go over to the first ledge and turn back toward the arena. There will be a grapple point, and you need to get Yamauchi to get close to that point. Once he's there, throw an oil flask at him, then quickly grapple over and use flame vent as soon as possible. This will provide you with an easy stun, some damage-over-time, and open up Seven Ashina Spears for further attacks. Do this 3-5 times for an easy kill.
And that about does it. We hope this helped you out in tackling the infamous Seven Ashina Spears mini-boss, but rest assured - greater challenges await in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
