When does Skate Season 2 begin? What are the latest news on the content coming with it? This is what we know so far.
Despite launching to mixed reviews after a long development and several closed playtests, Skate’s free-to-play reboot has managed to (at least partially) entice over 15 million players so far. Now, Season 1 has started and aims to keep skaters entertained with all sorts of themed events, new tasks and challenges, and extra cosmetics. Plus, we’re getting even more nostalgic songs!
Though we should be focusing on Season 1 for now, we know the more impatient crowd would like to know about what lies beyond the game’s immediate horizon, so we’re collecting all we know about the planned second season right here. Stay tuned for updates in the near future.
Skate Season 2 Release Date - Start & End Times
Skate Season 1 ends on December 2, 2025, and while we don’t have a specific release date for Season 2 yet, the early access roadmap shared in early September (see below) gave us its release window:
- Skate Season 2 Release Window: December 2025
That’s right, there won’t be a long wait (if any) between S1 and 2, as Full Circle and EA are planning to roll straight into Christmas. Come back as we approach S1’s end date to learn the latest about S2’s key dates.
Skate Season 2 Content
We still haven’t heard any specifics about Skate’s Season 2 offerings, but the roadmap has teased what’s coming, and it looks like the game will be ending 2025 on a high note and with lots of new content. Here’s the overview without details (expect to learn about them in late November or early December):
- New co-op game mode
- 2 new seasonal events
- Party voice chat support
- New gameplay tricks: impossibles & improved handplants
- Improvements to the replay editor
As always when it comes to live-service games, the list of upcoming features and content could see delays and changes, but it seems Skate’s development team is only getting started.
