There’s no shortage of excellent Space Marine 2 mods, but the Astartes Overhaul mod remains a fan-favorite among diehards who want a more brutal and customizable PvE experience even as developer Saber Interactive tries to answer such demands. If you want more spice than what the vanilla Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 experience can provide, you’ll want to check it out.
Here we’ve collected everything you need to know about the Astartes Overhaul mod, the links you need to download and set it up, and what the latest version available has added. For the Emperor!
Space Marine 2: Astartes Overhaul download & key features
The Astartes Overhaul mod for Space Marine 2 rebalances PvE gameplay and “enhances” the game with many more customization options, new weapons, reworked perks, and lore-accurate difficulty.
The mod can be download from Nexus Mods here. It doesn’t require content other than the game, but other mods use it for even more substantial overhauls, which has added to its huge popularity. As always, keep in mind user-made modifications can lead to unexpected game behavior. Though the developers are encouraging the use of mods, make sure to follow the instructions on the mod’s page.
Following many substantial content updates, the mod now also features three new classes (Terminator, Chaplain, and Apothecary) and supports modded PvP lobbies. It currently can be used with the 10.3 patch of the vanilla game.
