It’s time to relive Captain Titus and the Ultramarines’ battle against the Ork hordes and Chaos forces with a remastered re-release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine including all the DLCs for the 2011 game and improvements targeting modern PCs and current-gen Xbox consoles.
The announcement came via the Warhammer Skulls 2025 event alongside other game, DLC, and update reveals related to Games Workshop’s iconic fantasy and sci-fi universes. At the moment, all eyes are on Space Marine 2’s post-launch, yet Relic’s OG action game has become a cult classic over the years, even receiving a free (but thin) Anniversary Edition update back in 2021. Here’s the reveal trailer shared during the stream:
“Updated for a new generation by SneakyBox with 4K resolution, modernised controls, an interface overhaul, improved character models and remastered audio, the Master Crafted Edition brings the fight, the gore and the glory closer, louder and with greater impact than ever before. Experience this landmark third-person shooter set within the grim darkness and ceaseless conflict of the Warhammer 40,000 universe like never before,” the press release states.
Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition Release Date
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition will be sold for $39.99 on PC and Xbox Series X/S on June 10, with a day-one launch on Game Pass confirmed as well.
Perhaps the most surprising bit of the reveal is confirmation of a reactivated multiplayer mode for 8v8 player-versus-player matches. As for the technical upgrades and new features of the presentation, here’s the rundown:
- Up to 4K resolution support on PC and Xbox consoles.
- Greatly improved textures.
- Modernised 3D models and visual effects.
