Nightdive Studio has given us a short in-engine look at portions of the upcoming System Shock Remastered’s levels in the game’s November Kickstarter update.
Alongside showcasing the game’s levels, the developer also revealed the design and model for System Shock Remastered’s Virus Mutant enemy.
System Shock Remaster Levels, Virus Mutant Model
At a glance, System Shock Remastered’s interiors manage to retain some of the charm and atmosphere of those in the original while benefitting from improved textures and lighting that goes a long way to enhance the sci-fi title’s mood.
Although only a brief look, the several gifs show promising progress.
The November Update also focused on System Shock Remastered’s take on the Virus Mutant.
The new model takes inspiration from the sprites found in the original titles but the added detail, courtesy of modern tech, makes for an opponent that’s way more unsettling than its initial incarnation.
System Shock Remastered is currently aiming for a 2020 release on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
