Publisher Dotemu and developer Alt Shift have announced, during tonight’s Convergence Showcase, that tactical roguelite Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is now targeting a spring 2026 release window.
Scattered Hopes puts us at the helm of a fleet of survivors seeking to escape the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies and rejoin the Battlestar Galactica at Admiral Adama’s call.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes Gets Spring 2026 Release Window
With Cylons hot on our trail, survival quickly becomes a race against time. Ensuring our people’s survival sees us jumping between different planets and galactic points of interest, while managing a variety of crises and dilemmas that dynamically appear during each run.
These can involve anything from “allocating dwindling resources to managing divergent factions’ interests on board,” or identifying impostors and making sure they do not sow further dissent.
Scattered Hopes sees us making hard choices and living with their consequences, but, regardless of how we manage our fleet, the Cylons act as an ever-present threat that closes in with each action we take.
When they inevitably catch up to us, we’re thrust into battle, commanding our fleet of ships against overwhelming odds.
The goal in each of these “high-risk tactical battles” is to keep the enemy at bay using squadrons and nukes while our fleet prepares to perform an FTL jump to the next sector.
To better plan our moves and assess the state of the battlefield, we can also rely on a tactical pause button.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes’s procedurally generated narrative helps keep each run fresh, while a series of meta-upgrades reward us for trying our hand at survival as our fleet repeatedly falls to the Cylons.
Having now officially received a spring 2026 release window on PC, via Steam, Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes also has a demo that gives anyone interested a taste of what to expect when it fully launches.
