The Egyptian-themed Total War: Pharaoh will get Nvidia Ace support to boost its in-game advisor, reportedly.
In a video by Nvidia from CES 2026, Creative Assembly’s R&D team discusses how they’re using the generative AI tool to help players get better at the strategy title by ‘enhancing’ the advisor’s ability to offer real-time, useful tidbits relevant to the player.
Total War: Pharaoh Offers Alternative Advice
In theory, Nvidia Ace would be able to help the advisor discover contextual advice from a database of Total War knowledge it’s been trained on to provide to the player, rather than the standard hints already in Total War: Pharaoh.
You can see how it’s supposed to work in the video below.
It’s debatable if such a feature will do anything to change the rather underwhelming reputation Total War: Pharaoh has. Since launch, it’s been criticized for reportedly going backwards from games like Total War Saga: Troy.
It still has its fans in the strategy space, of course, especially for its limited warfare tools compared to other Total War games, as well as the generally refreshing setting and story.
If the AI Advisor intrigues you, though, a Playtest Program is due to launch at some point in 2026. This technology could appear in Total War: Warhammer 40,000, which was revealed at the Game Awards 2025.
