Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly have announced that grand strategy Total War: Warhammer 3 is getting its very first character pack DLC, which introduces Bhashiva, the Desert Tigress, White Tiger of Shang Yang alongside her host of Tiger Warrior mercenaries to Grand Cathay’s unit roster.
Bhashiva is a brand new character coming to both Warhammer 3 and the tabletop lore, described as “a silent shadow that closes distance with unnerving speed before striking her prey.”

Wielding the Blades of Shang Yang – twin katara burning with the Iron Dragon’s fire, according to the developer – she is an adept infantry killer that not only scorches her foe bot also lowers their resistance to fire.
Heaven’s Gate, her signature item, further enhances her stealth capabilities “by letting her move rapidly across the battlefield without being seen.”
As for the Tiger Warriors introduced in Total War: Warhammer III’s first character pack, they hail from the lands on Ind, complementing Grand Cathay’s existing roster as “a force built around agility, stalking, and sudden ambushes instantly changes the feel of their battlefield toolkit.”
Their spellcaster, the Clawspeaker, fulfills a “hybrid role of priestly devotion and raw magical talent also [that] gives Grand Cathay something it has never had access to before: the healing properties of the Lore of Life.” Since they can also use the Lore of Beasts and Shadows, we’re looking at quite a versatile magic-based unit.
Total War: Warhammer III’s Bhashiva and the Tiger Warriors Character Pack is “an exciting experiment” for Creative Assembly. Priced at £3.99/$4.99/€4.99 or your regional equivalent, it includes the following units alongside access to Cathay’s default roster for anyone who might not already have it:
- 1x Legendary Lord (Anti-Infantry)
- 1x Lord (Anti-Large)
- 1x Hero (Spellcaster)
- 3x Unique Units (Dual Wielder, Hybrid, Anti-Large)
- Also included: Unique Campaign Feature, Final Battle, Quest Battle etc.
In addition, the character pack will be accompanied by an anti-large legendary hero available to all owners of the base game for free.
Total War: Warhammer III’s Bhashiva and the Tiger Warriors Character Pack doesn’t yet have a release date, but its developer has confirmed that it will launch before summer, when the sizeable Lords of the End Times DLC is slated to drop, making the wait for Nagash a bit more exciting.
