Developer Creative Assembly has confirmed that Total War: Warhammer 3 pre-loads begin next week, giving players a couple of days to download the highly anticipated and quite massive grand strategy game.
In case you aren’t up to speed regarding its file size, Total War: Warhammer 3 will eat up around 120 GB of your hard drive. That’s twice as much space as its predecessor required at launch and one good reason to rejoice at the thought of pre-loading going live two days prior to release.
Total War: Warhammer III pre-loading will begin on Tuesday, February 15 at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET/3 PM GMT and be available for the Microsoft Store, PC Game Pass, and Steam versions of the game.
This, unfortunately, means that players who decide to purchase the title on the Epic Games Store won’t be able to download it prior to launch.

On top of Warhammer III’s massive size, the developer has also confirmed that we’ll also have to download “at least one more patch prior to playing,” likely introducing some last-minute tweaks and improvements to make the launch-day experience as smooth as possible.
You can learn more about Total War: Warhammer III pre-loading over on the game’s official website, to prepare for when you’ll be able to harness the limb-switching powers of Chaos Undivided.
Total War: Warhammer III launches on PC on February 17. You can grab it from Fanatical, other major storefronts, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
