Like with other online titles, Valorant has its own share of potential issues, one of which is Error Code 54. Players encountering it have reported being unable to properly launch the first-person shooter.
Here’s everything you need to know about Valorant’s Error Code 54, what it means and whether or not there’s a fix for it.
Valorant Error Code 54
Valorant’s Error Code 54 issue is accompanied by the following text: “There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your client. Error code: 54”.
Developer Riot Games describes the Error Code 54 as a “content service failure” caused by Valorant being “unable to retrieve your content”. As in the error text itself, the suggested fix is that of restarting your Riot client.
Sadly, restarting the client doesn’t always work, and, as Error Code 54 is tied to Valorant’s servers, there’s not much that players can do to fix it. The sole thing you can do if restarting the client doesn’t work is to be patient and wait.
Given how Valorant is currently in closed beta, unexpected server issues are bound to occur. Hopefully, as time goes one, Riot will nail down the cause of the issue so that Error Code 54 will plague players less and less.
Valorant is available now on PC in closed beta. Here’s what Error Code 12 and Error Code 46 mean.
