Winds of Magic is the first really big expansion pack for Vermintide 2, and its main schtick will be the introduction of horrid Beastmen - one of the most gruesome factions we’ve seen so far. The release date is currently slated for 13th of August, so not a long way to go.
As it stands, Winds of Magic is going to be - by far - the biggest content drop for Vermintide 2 yet. Find the full feature list just below.
If you expect for Winds of Magic to just add a map or two and a few new enemies, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that there’s an abundance of content coming under its umbrella.
- the Beastmen faction
- Cataclysm Difficulty level
- raised Level Cap to 35
- new Progression System
- 5 new Weapons
- new Dark Omens Adventure level
- new Winds of Magic Game Mode
Of all this, we must highlight the Winds of Magic mode in particular, as it’s going to be comprised of five separate elements that make for a unique gameplay experience: Map, Wind (modifier), Objective, Finale (triggered on Objective completion), and Difficulty. This game mode will present players with something that keeps changing and evolving as time goes on, so that they’ve always got something new to look forward to.
