Publisher and developer Fatshark has delayed the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s upcoming new class while revealing that its release date is on track to occur in early December.
Originally set to go live on November 11, Darktide’s new class announcement was delayed by a whole week, until November 18, “to ensure we meet the quality standards of our marketing assets.”
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s New Class Releases in Early December
“We are working hard to resolve this and be ready for next week to showcase the new class in the light it deserves,” the developer wrote in a short post on Steam.
In the same space, it confirmed that delaying the announcement does not affect the release date of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s new class, which is slated to occur on December 2, 2025.
The developer previously shared a roadmap, which also had a free update and special event slated for the same date.
No further details were shared, so it’s unclear what Darktide’s new class will be at this point in time. Its first post-launch class, the Arbites, was introduced back in June as the co-op shooter/slasher’s first paid DLC, following a lengthy period in which Fatshark addressed the base game’s many launch woes.
It’s likely safe to assume that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s new class will also be available via paid DLC, but we’ll know for certain next week. Either way, having new toys to play with just in time for the holidays is bound to be good news for those who regularly cull heretics across Atoma Prime.
