Wired Productions, publisher known for its psychological narrative titles, and Indonesian developer Separuh Interactive today announced the signing of a worldwide publishing deal for the upcoming cinematic survival horror game Agni: Village of Calamity.
The publishing partnership announcement was accompanied by a brand new trailer for Agni, which gives us a fresh look at some of the enemies we’ll face and the unsettling environments we’ll explore. The trailer features original music from the publisher’s independent label Black Razor Records.
Wired Productions and Separuh Interactive Enter Publishing Agreement for Agni: Village of Calamity
Inspired by Indonesian horror films, Agni: Village of Calamity follows an investigator from a secret agency who, driven by regret, disobeys her superiors and sets off to search for her missing partner inside the forbidden village of Desa Purba.
Blending fixed-camera perspectives with modern third-person combat and environmental puzzles, the title challenges us to survive grotesque horrors using limited resources. Violence and brutality are at home in the village, while reality becomes more unstable the further we push in.
“Our ambition with AGNI is to push the boundaries of Indonesian horror into the ‘New Weird’ space, creating a psychological thriller that challenges the player’s perception of reality,” said Ardhan Fadhlurrahman, COO of Separuh Interactive. “We are proud to work alongside Wired Productions, whose commitment to championing creative visionaries makes them the ideal partner to share our passion for authentic Indonesian storytelling with a worldwide audience.”
Agni: Village of Calamity doesn’t yet have a release date but is slated to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with “more formats” to be announced soon.
