Wargaming has announced the World of Tanks: Heat release date, with the standalone free-to-play tactical vehicle shooter coming soon to PC and consoles.
The alt-history take on Wargaming’s World of Tanks will be released on PC, Steam Deck, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW on May 26, 2026.
The game will support full cross-platform play and progression at launch to help get the spin-off started on the right foot (or tank tread).
World of Tanks: Heat Trailer Brings the Big Guns
The announcement for the World of Tanks: Heat release date also came with a hard-hitting cinematic trailer helmed by Hardcore Henry and Nobody director Ilya Naishuller, with musical accompaniment from Naishuller’s own band, Biting Elbows. You can check that out below.
World of Tanks: Heat is a 10v10 tactical hero shooter where hero-enhanced tanks clash in explosive, fast-paced combat. Think of it as a twitch-shooter style alternative to the grittier, grounded World of Tanks we all know and perhaps love.
The game features eight agents with three battlefield roles, fifteen vehicles, eight maps, and four different PvP modes (Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest) to blast it out in.
You can find out more about the game and wishlist it on the official World of Tanks: Heat website.
