World of Warcraft Patch 11.2 Content
After getting a first glimpse at WoW’s patch 11.2 during November 2024’s Warcraft Direct showcase, the developer gave us a rundown of its major features in June 2025, shortly after patch 11.1.7 went live.
WoW’s Ghosts of K’aresh takes us to the shattered world of the Ethereals, where “shadowy forces [are] working toward bringing Dimensius back into the world.”
We’ll join Alleria Windrunner and Locus-Walker, her mentor, to fight back against this threat, with the city of Tazavesh, The Veiled Market (previously explored in megadungeon form) acting as our main hub.
World of Warcraft’s patch 11.2 also introduces a new raid, Manaforge Omega, inside which we battle the Shadow Guard Ethereals working to revive Dimensius.
The eight-boss instance culminates with a fight against the big bad himself, which Blizzard describes as “the biggest raid boss we’ve ever made,” comparing its size to that of the city of Stormwind.
A new upgradeable artifact, the Reshii Wraps, is also coming our way in WoW’s 11.2 patch, allowing us to transform into energy.
Aside from facilitating entry into the new raid, the cloak’s form shifting abilities opens the way to engaging with the new Phase Diving activity, which introduces “new objectives, new creatures, new quests, new mechanics.”
WoW’s Ghosts of K’aresh update also adds a new delve, The Archival Assault, and seasonal delve boss, in the shape of Nexus Princess Ky’veza.
The Ecological Succession system revolves around helping Ve’nari bring life back to the shattered planet using her eco-domes. To aid her in her efforts, we’ll “scour previously traveled zones to bring back animals to live within the eco-domes and aid them in adjusting to life on K’aresh.”
WoW’s newest dungeon, Eco-Dome Aldani, joins seven others as part of Season 3’s refreshed pool, which looks as follows:
- Eco-Dome Aldan
- Halls of Atonement
- Tazavesh Streets of Wonder
- Tazavesh So’leah’s Gambit
- Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
- The Dawnbreaker
- Priory of the Sacred Flame
- Operation Floodgate
New class sets are also on the way, as are class changes and PvP updates.Blizzard will gradually reveal more details about each of these features as we approach their actual launch, so we’ll have to be patient. Nevertheless, Azeroth is bound to become even more interesting this summer.
That is what we know so far about World of Warcraft’s patch 11.2’s release date alongside the content it introduces.
