World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic content may come to an end with the launch of Phase 4, but our final Northrend adventure is perhaps the most important one yet, given how the release date of the Icecrown Citadel raid sees us going toe to toe with Arthas himself.
WoW: WotLK: Classic's content Phase 4 follows in the footsteps of the Trial of the Crusader raid, which while providing a bit of a tamer content offering, kept us busy and safe from the heat during the summer months.
WOW: Wotlk Phase 4 Release Date
Blizzard has yet to officially announce when World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic's Phase 4 release date might occur, but we can try our hand at guessing based on the launch of previous content drops.
The phase first made its way to the PTR in early September, giving players a chance to test the raid alongside three new dungeons, and the Shadowmourne legendary quest.
- WoW: WotLK Classic Phase 4 release date: October/November 2023
- WoW: WotLK Classic Icecrown Citadel raid release date: October/November 2023
In addition, the PTR also included a first iteration of the random dungeon finder, alongside the Defense Protocol Gamma version of Titan Rune Dungeons. Later, quest racking also became available for testing.
Given how the prior phases launched after a wait of 4 or 5 months, we currently expect Wrath of the Lich King Classic's Phase 4 and its accompanying Icecrown Citadel Raid to release at some point between October and November 2023.
With testing underway, it's looking very likely that we'll get to face Arthas and get one more hefty infusion of nostalgia before the holidays.
That is what we know so far about WoW: WotLK Classic's Phase 4 and the Icecrown Citadel raid release date. We'll update this article as soon as we learn more.
