Director Duncan Jones has announced that shooting for the Warcraft movie has finally concluded, which it did before the weekend. Despite being "officially wrapped", years of work still remains to be done. There are a lot of special effects to bring Azeroth to life, which is being led by Lucasfilms' Industrial Light & Magic - the studio built out of the foundations of Star Wars.

Blizzard is busy sending out invitations to those World of Warcraft players who registered for participation in the alpha test of the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion. Registrations for the public alpha test opened in April, around the same time that Blizzard announced they were running private testing. Blizzard's fantasy hack and slash Diablo 3 has sold an impressive 20 million plus copies in the two years since its launch. That figure was revealed during Activision-Blizzard's second quarter earnings call yesterday, during which the company also World of Warcraft subscriptions have dropped to the still pretty healthy level of 6.8 million.
