Epic Games has confirmed that in celebration of E3 2010, next week from Monday will begin 7 days of "3 times" the normal dose of double XP. Gears of War 2 multiplayer will be practically drowning in experience, starting June 14th and ending the 21st. Gears of War 3 will be showcased at E3.
Microsoft and Epic Games have revealed the character Jace Stratton, a "central character" from the comics, will be voiced by hip-hop's Drake. You're unlikely to be the only one without a clue who this guy is. His combo of "heart and grit" landed him the role, and "fortunately" he's a big fan.

Sega's upcoming sci-fi shooter Vanquish, from the creator of Resident Evil, is studio Insomniac's top E3 pick this year; they're astonished. It's a "brilliant technical showpiece" that's "absolutely gorgeous" to look at. Vanquish is packed full of guns, explosions, mechs and jet-packs.
Microsoft and Epic Games have issued a statement to confirm that Gears of War 3 will be delayed from April 2011 into a fall 2011 window. "Gears of War 3 promises to be the biggest entertainment launch of 2011. The teams at Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games have done great work thus far readying the title for release in the spring of 2011. However, we’ve elected to move the launch of Gears of War 3 until fall 2011 to make it the marquee title for the holiday season," said the statement from Microsoft.
The multiplayer beta test for Epic's Gears of War 3 will start up sometime early next year with the full game due for release on Xbox 360 in fall 2011. Executive producer Rod Fergusson acknowledges some see betas on consoles as public demos, but the studio wants serious feedback from users.

However there wasn't any GOW3 at the VGAs, so at least he was partly right. The "timing's not right" for Epic to be unveiling more of the game yet, he says.
Retail stores have gotten a Gears of War Ultimate listing. The bundle will cost $29.99 USD, and appears to include both Gears of War 1 and 2.
A third Gears of War product may be released this year, called Gears of War: Exile.
Microsoft has confirmed the existence of the Gears of War Triple Pack, but that it is for US shores only. It features Gears of War 1 & 2 plus the Road to Ruin. The bundle includes 19 extra multiplayer maps tallying up to 38 in total. It's coming out February 15th for $29.99. Two map packs are free over Xbox Live.
Epic Games are sorry but the plans they had to have unlocks in Gears of War 3 come from their past releases like Shadow Complex won't be happening. The studio "can't read" all they need to from their past catalogue on Xbox 360. It's to do with Xbox Live data restrictions. Previous Gears titles will still unlock.
According to sources near the project, Epic Games' upcoming Gears of War Kinect title is in fact an on-rails shooter so gamers don't get to have full control. It's believed this Kinect spin-off is going to be called Gears of War: Exile after a trademarking was found. Gears of Wars 3 has "no Kinect" in it.
