Publisher and developer Firefly Studios has given us a proper look at Stronghold 4’s system requirements ahead of its Steam early access launch later this year.
If you count among those castle sim enthusiasts still relying on older hardware to defend their walls and conquer their enemies, you’ll find Stronghold 4’s PC specs to be quite accommodating to PCs that haven’t been upgraded in a while. An i5-4670 or AMD equivalent CPU paired with the venerable Nvidia GTX 1060 are listed as the bare minimum required to run the next mainline entry in the castle sim series, likely at a cost in visual quality.
As far as recommended hardware goes, you should run the game quite well with an i5-7600 or AMD equivalent CPU alongside an Nvidia GTX 1060.
