Owlcat Games has confirmed hit CRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has now sold over 2 million units and is getting a physical release for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The milestone has been crossed with the accumulated sales on PC and consoles, and shortly after the release of the Infinite Museion DLC. Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG, as well as console via PS4/5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The latter has yet to receive the latest DLC content.
To celebrate, Owlcat has also confirmed the game will be getting a physical release on PS5 and Switch 2 later this year:
“Starting October 15, 2026, prospective players and collectors on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 will also have the opportunity to purchase a physical edition of the game, for the very first time. Produced by Silver Lining, the physical Voidfarer Edition contains the main game, both Void Shadows and Lex Imperialis DLCs, as well as a number of digital goods and exclusive in-game items.”
The new press release seems to suggest this physical edition misses the latest DLC and (potential) future drops that would need to be downloaded separately, but diehards will no doubt be curious about what the new digital goods and “exclusive in-game items” are. More details can be found in the trailer:
