Crysis Warhead Latest News
With the GameSpy Technologies shutdown this May 31st there are going to be a lot of games with any multiplayer, unless studios get patching. Crytek has confirmed Crysis 1 & 2 will be losing their online portions.
May 31st will be the "conclusion of online multiplayer support" as the GameSpy service shuts off. Both games' single-player campaigns are "unaffected by this transition,".
Crytek's Crysis series is now packaged together in a single bundle edition called Crysis Trilogy. From the very humble island beginnings, to the twisted and fractured New York City jungle crammed full of aliens.
So that means Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Crysis 3 Digital Deluxe Edition and Crysis 3: Lost Island Expansion are now available as a single purchase for £34.99.
Developer Crytek reveals that they already have plans in mind for the next Crysis after Crysis 3, but it won't be called 'Crysis 4' as "it would be misleading," given that Prophet's story concludes.
Calling it '4' would "imply the story just moves on," but it doesn't. The studio is looking into something "much more radical and new" for the future of the franchise; no pre-production yet.
Someone isn't happy with Crysis developer Crytek and an allegation heavy blog cites 'unlawful' dismissals, heavy crunch times and employee lawsuits.
Crytek has responded and plainly cried "bullsh*t" that their relocation to a new Frankfurt office would cause about 70 redundancies. It's got "more desks" not less.
The CryEngine tech is "a very moddable thing," which also works against a safe online experience. On PC there are "lots of hooks" exposed.
These leave it "open to hacking if you're not careful." They've had to go through PC Crysis 2 with a "fine tooth comb" and "close all these doors" tight.
