Blizzard unveil changes in next major Diablo III patch, adds 'successor' to Horadric Cube

The winds of change are blowing and Blizzard has given us all a preview to Patch 2.3.0 for Diablo III. There's quite a bit on the menu and most notably is the addition of 'Kanai’s Cube', which looks to surpass the legendary Horadric Cube.

An overhaul of the crafting system is in the works too as they make it "easier and more fluid" with our crafting mats 'never wasted' as items "dynamically adjust" to our level. They're cranking it all the way to Torment X.

Blizzard: Cow invasion of Diablo III's Sanctuary "udderly ridiculous" - avoid the wilds until May 21st

In an effort to dispel the gossip coming out of Diablo III's taverns, Blizzard has reiterated there "are no homicidal heifers" terrorising the land. Incidentally, avoid going into the wilds between now and May 21st.

It's an obvious prank and call it "udderly ridiculous" and "full of bull". Nephalim are also advised to avoid strange portals that "may or may not lead to alternate planes of existence".

The introduction of the Greater Rifts in Diablo III's Adventure mode has led to a rise in 'zero DPS' builds to nullify mobs of monsters so other players can tear through them quickly.

This 'drive for efficiency' has led to issues, and Blizzard is now looking into tweaking the experience. One solution is to "disable permanent Crowd Control" to "create more interaction".

US sanctions halt Blizzard's Battle.net services in Crimea region

World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and other Blizzard Entertainment titles dependent on the studio's Battle.net service are now 'offline' in Crimea following the United States' trade sanctions on the region.

Blizzard have been forced into switching off their services and informed affected gamers through an email. All subscriptions have been terminated, though they hope to "restore access" in the future.

Diablo III Patch 2.2.0 adds three new Treasure Goblins, 'regular health potions' removed entirely

There's doings afoot in Diablo III as the latest 2.2.0 Patch for the action RPG has completely ditched regular health potions, as Blizzard have replaced them with a new Bottomless Heath Potion that heals 60% life.

Legendary potions remain unchanged according to the notes. This came about when the team was looking at mass loot pickups. Grab one gem and you'll grab them all in a 20 yard radius.
