We spent most of 2016 clinging to the hope that one of the year's rumors would turn out to be true - a potential remake of a classic Diablo game. And while it proved to not quite be the case in the end, we were to get something almost as good; an anniversary event that would bring a chunk of Diablo history to Diablo III.
With Blizzard's annual celebration of their history playing out over the weekend at Blizzcon, we finally got some answers to those crazy Diablo related rumors that had been floating around various media outlets for months.
Longtime Diablo fansite DiabloII.net spotted some interesting job listings posted on Blizzard's careers page for an "Unannounced Project" involving Diablo. The studio seeks a lighting artist, a senior character artist and a senior concept artist who have a "passion for all things Diablo."
Blizzard has announced on Battle.net that the gigantic 2.4 patch for Diablo III, which had been in beta for several months, is finally live and available for download. The new patch is, in Blizzard's words, "crammed full of new features, items, and plenty of quality of life and balance changes."
Diablo III is beta-testing its massive 2.4 patch, which wasten days ago, and some of the testers found a little shout-out to the Fallout series, apropos as Fallout 4 was just released to PC and consoles.
