Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall Latest News
An image from origins unknown has appeared with Arkane Studios and Bethesda logos on it, with a rather prominent 'Dishonored II' as the headline with the caption "Witness the full reveal at E3 2014!"
It's also stamped #DarknessOfTyvia. Arkane has been very quiet on their next project, and it seems everyone's suspicion of a Dishonored sequel might just be true. Bethesda declared it a "new franchise".
Bethesda announced on Twitter that the Game of the Year Edition for Dishonored has been officially announced, and will be coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 8th October.
The Australian Classification Board seems to have outed a Game of the Year Edition of Dishonored, which would likely include all of the DLC released for the game, including The Brigmore Witches, which is due later this month.
The Brigmore Witches is the next downloadable content coming to Arkane's Dishonored and Bethesda has released some teasing artwork ahead of their official announcement, which should be dripping with more info.
The team said that "Daud's journey concludes," with new details due real soon. Daud is the assassin responsible for the death of the Empress, and in The Knife of Dunwall we explore his world.
Arkane's Dishonored was a knife in the dark, and a very lucrative one at that for Bethesda. Pete Hines says they "try not to wade into anything as a one-off" from the start, and Dishonored appears to fit the bill.
Bethesda feels it's a franchise and it will be staying with Arkane. What about id's Rage? Right now the Doom creators are "full bore" on their current project, with Hines "super happy" about their work.
