Rockstar create Spotify and iTunes playlists for GTA radio stations

Fancy a blast of nostalgia in the ears? Rockstar Games has gone ahead and "compiled the official set of playlists" for the Grand Theft Auto series, including Chinatown Wars. Some tracks are missing however.

Only music already available via the two services are included in the playlists, but Rockstar hope to "add the original songs" created for the games. Only want to listen to the commercials?

Producer Leslie Benzies of Rockstar Games dreams of a video game world where all their iconic spoof-heavy cities were happily connected to one another in a single Grand Theft Auto title.

It's an ambitious goal to be sure given the breadth of scope Rockstar pour into their GTA universes. In the context of this 'super GTA' - reimagining Vice City "would be very interesting."

GTA 3 US PSN release confirmed for this week

The official US PlayStation.Blog has confirmed the digital release of Grand Theft Auto 3 will be jacking the network this week, as it arrives under the 'PlayStation 2 Classic' category.

It's been a long time coming as the digital release of GTA 3 was said to be suffering licensing woes over its music, but that's all cleared up now. No EU PlayStation Store date yet.

Grand Theft Auto III re-dated for PSN, due next week

Once more Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III will be leaping from PS2 to PlayStation 3 now that licensing troubles have been dealt with. Sony's Hong Kong PS Store dates GTA III September 25th.

This is great news as it usually mirrors the US PlayStation Store for release dates. Official confirmation is yet to be given. GTA III was the first time the series adopted a full 3D world.
