Counter-Strike creator 'has seen Half-Life 3 artwork', also 'new Left 4 Dead'

Le Minh, former Valve developer and creator of Counter-Strike, has said he's seen concept artwork for the long-sought-after Half-Life 3, admitting it's "kind of public knowledge" Valve is working on it in secret.

He "did see something" belonging to the Half-Life universe, and will "go out on a limb" to say it's Half-Life 3. Minh also saw the "new Left 4 Dead" which "looks great" .

Why no Half-Life XVIII by now? Gabe Newell has commented a little on why they don't just churn out Half-Life sequels, much to the dismay of many, as they decided to tackle multiplayer games instead.

This was when there had "never been a commercial successful multiplayer game" before, yet they went for it. They also had plenty of insiders doubtful of Steam, future overlord of PC gaming.

Voice actor John Patrick Lowrie, best known for playing Bruno Lowrie in No One Lives Forever, had revealed in his blog that Half-Life 3 is not being developed at Valve. The statements were later removed.

How, within a simple few seconds, do you get a significant player base frothing at the mouth? You get a Valve executive to teasingly point at the number '3' in an elevator, before choosing another level in the building.

Naturally this might be thought of as a Half-Life 3 trolling, but there's a real significant chance this might be for a Left 4 Dead 3 reveal. It's got an 'L', a '3' and a '4' in the clip.

Dishonored writer finds Valve's handling of Gordon Freeman "really creepy"

Austin Grossman is a writer for Arkane's Dishonored which releases this week. He drew inspiration from Valve's equally mute protagonist Gordon Freeman in what not to do with a silent lead.

He 'hates' what Valve do with Freeman, finding it "incredibly awkward and really creepy." Valve treat him as an empty vessel as people talk "at him, about him and sometimes even for him."
