Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord gameplay to be revealed at Gamescom, set 200 years before Warband

TaleWorlds Entertainment will be unveiling for the first time the new Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Unfortunately its live gameplay sessions will be private at Gamescom. The press will get to salivate at the current state of the sequel, which is set two centuries before Mount & Blade Warband but takes the series forward "by greatly expanding gameplay" in all areas.

This is part of a wider initiative to dust off old game serial keys and get them revived digitally by GOG, who hope to expand what they can turn into a DRM-free copy. TaleWorlds Entertainment has announced a December 11 release date for Mount and Blade: Warband's Viking Conquest DLC, which was externally developed by the team behind the popular 'Brytenwalda' mod.
