New NASCAR racer in development as DMi Games acquires license

Carolina-based DMi Games has wrestled with "more than 1,000 licensed and approved properties" to secure the rights to develop and publish the NASCAR series of games, with a new racer on the way. NASCAR 2014 was from Eutechnyx. The new license holders over at DMi nabbed the rights as of January 1st. Their NASCAR game is for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2016.

Eutechnyx layoff 12 employees, "developing more new IP" with 'major China iniative'

Auto Club Revolution and NASCAR series developer Eutechnyx has just let go a further 12 employees, confirms CEO Darren Jobling. The studio is currently "developing more new IP" since a £6m investment in 2010. They still house 130 employees and are recruiting in new areas, with a "major initiative involving China" to be announced. Reportedly they're helping Ubisoft Reflections.
