Retro City Rampage Summary
Vblank has announced a major update for the Steam version of their retro-styled open world game Retro City Rampage, which will add official mod support and a new graphics mode featuring real-time shadows.
Retro City Rampage is getting a release on the Wii, and to celebrate, both the Wii and PC versions of the game are getting a bonus: ROM City Rampage, which is an 8-bit "demake" of the game.
PlayStation 3 gamers in Europe can finally enjoy Vblank's Grand Theft Auto parody Retro City Rampage, as the game has finally reached Euro PlayStation Network. The game had already launched in the US PSN back in October.
Vblank Entertainment has announced that Retro City Rampage, which already saw release on Steam and PlayStation Network in North America, will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade on the 2nd January 2013. Euro PSN will also be getting the game sometime in January.
If you feel that 'retro' gaming has let you down before, then perhaps Retro City Rampage is the answer. It borrows without remorse from a whole host of 8-bit and 16-bit classics, and packages them in one.
Don't let its heavy Grand Theft Auto flavour fool you, there's plenty more hidden within as the launch trailer shows. It's due for release on PSN and PC this week, and XBLA later.
