The team are ”ecstatic” with 15 days to go to raise another £75k. They unveil new playable units and rooms as Subterranean gift our dark hearts with this demo - it’s available now.
This gameplay taster replaces the previous ‘showcase demo’ that only really let us have a look around. There are five new units unveiled and the barracks room.
”First of all: THANK YOU FOR HELPING US REACH £75,000. We are overjoyed to have reached 50% of our goal! You are all wonderful to have supported us up to this point and we are looking forward to making a game that rekindle those your desire for a truly evil god game that encompasses and exceeds the games you played more than decade ago.”
As of right now War for the Overworld needs a little more of our help as Subterranean Games has added their spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper to the Steam Greenlight, so it awaits our support in votes.
”If we succeed all backers will be able to opt to receive a Steam copy of the game,” said the latest Kickstarter update. ”This will allow for seamless updates of their client and Dungeoneer toolkit as once our Bedrock Beta has launched. The multiplayer (and ease of use) feature(s) are the reason we aim to release on Steam.”
The actual War for the Overworld gameplay demo is available via the official website.
