Mega Man 2 composer Takashi Tateishi is now onboard much to the gleeful cries of fans, I’m sure. Already working Mighty No. 9 is Mega Man 1’s composer.
Mighty No. 9 is a side-scrolling action game much like Mega Man, and that’s only right after developer Comcept USA is led by former Capcom legend Keiji Inafune.
The Kickstarter asked for $900k but fan excitement soon blew past that mark and it’s now in the lofty millions. A super quick prototype video has been released showing just 13 seconds of Mighty No. 9 running in the Unreal Engine 3. Everything is placeholder, warns Comcept, and it took 7 days to put together.
