Warhorse Studios’ ambitious RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance might be set in the violent world of the middle ages, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be some beautiful landscapes to enjoy.
This latest trailer, released just before the game’s backer only pre-Alpha version goes live this October 22, shows the peaceful, rural side of medieval life.
Kingdom Come probably intends you to want to play a sword-wielding warrior or wily archer rogue, but honestly, after watching this I kind of just want to wander about picking apples and raising pigs. For the uninitiated Kingdom Come takes place in a huge open world covering 3.5 square miles, and offers players the chance to play the hero or the villain in a sprawling, non-linear tale. No dungeons, no dragons and absolutely no hobbits here, this is pure historical fiction.
The project earned over $1,000,000 from its Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, from a campaign goal of $300,000. You can still back the project over on the official pledge page - $40 is the amount you’ll need to cough up to join in with the pre-Alpha on October 22.
