Focus Home Interactive announced today that they’ve had to delay the release of Blood Bowl 2 from June to 22nd September, in order to ensure that “players would enjoy the most polished foundations possible for the next generation Blood Bowl experience”
Blood Bowl 2 is the sequel to a video game adaptation of Games Workshop’s boardgame that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer. The game is in development for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Pre-orders are now open and anyone that orders a copy during this time will receive an extra Blood Bowl 2 race (including its own AI, design, skills, and their Star Players) of either the Lizardmen or the Wood Elves. PC players that pre-order from Steam will also get the chance to play the multiplayer beta build a few weeks before the game is released on the 22nd September.
The single-player experience has also been revealed for the first time today, with this new Campaign Trailer, which we’ve embedded for you below.
“Blood Bowl 2’s campaign is a complete, story driven experience with various mechanics and twists-and-turns that won’t be found in any of the other game modes in Blood Bowl 2. The first few matches provide new-comers with all the basics of how to play, with a plot played out through cut-scenes designed with the game’s new engine to pave the way for Blood Bowl’s central narrative.”
Blood Bowl 2 will be releasing September 22 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
