Given the game’s positive critical and commercial reception, it won’t come as a huge surprise to hear that Dying Light, Techland’s open world zombie basher, is now the studio’s most popular title ever.
In a press release sent out today, the Polish team revealed that the game’s player count has reached over 3,200,000 in the 45 days since launch. That makes for a lot of dead zombies.
“To celebrate the milestone,we pulled a few numbers and compared them to some real world examples to get anidea of what our fans achieved. They’ve really been a busy bunch,” writes Techland’s community manager Michał Napora.
378,672,587 if we’re counting. And Techland is. Other juicy statistics from an infographic sent over includes the fact that players have rescued enough survivors to populate Ireland, and have scavenged a sum total of sixteen times the wealth of Bill Gates. And he didn’t even get to kill a single zombie while making his fortune.
