In a new video from Eidos Montreal we see Deus Ex creator Warren Spector praise the studio’s latest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and he remarked they appear to have ”captured the essence” of the series.
His ”baby is all grown up” he added after having seen the gameplay demo of Mankind Divided. The team ”really captured the tone and spirit” over at Eidos. He doesn’t wanna know any of the story.
Initially Spector was a little critical of the announcement trailer for the new game because it was ”pretty violence-o-rific,” and didn’t convey the greater freedom the player has in dealing with situations how they want. Actual gameplay though appears to have convinced him player choice is alive and well. ”In trailers, you just have to give people the most action-packed stuff you can, I assume. I’ll definitely be playing Mankind Divided. Ask me then,” he said at the time.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on PC and console in Q1/Q2 2016.
