Perfect World has revealed what players can expect in the 11th season of Star Trek Online dubbed “New Dawn”, which will introduce a new Admiralty System gameplay mechanic, a revamped Cardassian mission series and a new story arc that will extend into 2016.
The two new featured episodes take place after the five year long Iconian War, called Sunrise and Stormbound. The episodes revolve around a previously unknown civilization and the mystery of the identity of a time-traveler. New Dawn also includes the invasion of the prime universe by the mirror universe’s Admiral Leeta (played by the original actress Chase Masterson), attacking the Badlands and Deep Space Nine.
The other major gameplay mechanic is the Admiralty System, in which the player can order their inactive ships on missions and assignments as a way to earn rewards. Each ship is given special abilities and stats that the player must take into account before sending themselves off into danger.
Perfect World also released a “New Dawn” trailer to encapsulate what to expect in Season 11.
