For tomorrow only, Dying Light players will be able to enhance their character’s zombie-punching skills by hunting down tainted barrels of ’Antizin’, the game’s zombification cure.
Sampling the product in question will cause you to become freakishly strong and fast, able to drop-kick zombies across a courtyard, punch them into bits with your bare hands, and perform various other acts of amusing anti-undead violence.
”Something unusual is going to happen in the world of Dying Light tomorrow that will radically change the game experience for one day only,” writes developer Techland. ”In an emergency broadcast, the Global Relief Effort has urged the survivors of Harran to use extreme caution when handling Antizin injections. The latest batch of Antizin has been exposed to a foreign contaminant. The chemical in question is non-toxic, but anyone affected might experience odd side-effects for up to 24 hours.”
Check out some of the trick shots you can do in the video above. Zombie football anyone? Well done Techland, you’ve actually come up with something for April Fool’s Day that doesn’t make me cringe so hard my liver explodes.
