It’s Ubisoft’s 30th birthday! Congrats, Ubi! To celebrate, they’re giving out free stuff. Right now it’s Splinter Cell, and next week it will be Rayman Origins, which is a tremendously terrific 2D platformer.
Unfortunately, it will require redemption on Uplay, but that’s ultimately a pretty small price to play for a game as excellent as Rayman Origins. Directed by series creator Michel Ancel, it’s among the best of modern 2D platformers, which puts it high on a list of very excellent games.
If you’re more into the stealth action, Splinter Cell is still available as the Ubi30 deal, so pick it up if you haven’t already.
Rayman Origins will take Splinter Cell’s spot on August 17.
